<li><strong>雷诺</strong>的动画片是在<strong>巴黎</strong>公开放映的，<strong>19世纪末</strong>很多关注运动摄影和动态投影的<strong>发明家都聚集于此</strong>。而雷诺和<strong>安舒茨</strong>一样，比起跟随发明的新浪潮，他更沉浸于自己的动画片，亲自参与创作和表演。</li>
<li>于是，当<strong>卢米埃兄弟（The Lumiere&#8217;s）</strong>在开始放映他们真人电影短片，当<strong>梅里爱</strong>等奇幻电影先驱带来一大批新“动画”时，巴黎人们的注意力注定被分散。</li>
<li>虽然<strong>雷诺</strong>的<span style="color: #008080;"><strong>“光学剧院”</strong></span>也可投影照片序列，但难以和直接使用赛璐璐胶卷的电影设备相比。加上雷诺的设备、作品、甚至表演方法都难以复制，没法像电影机和电影胶卷那样便于传播。</li>
<li>20世纪初，只能固守一地的<strong>雷诺</strong>败局已定，最终被人们所遗忘，连同他创造的<span style="color: #ffcc00;"><strong>第一代</strong></span>电影动画。更不幸的是，<strong>雷诺</strong>与<span style="color: #666699;"><strong>格雷文博物馆</strong></span>签订的“糟糕”合同，</li>
<li>后来，他在晚年凄惨，身无分文的沮丧中，<strong>亲自砸碎了</strong>自己的<span style="color: #008080;"><strong>“光学剧院”</strong></span>，并把大部分的作品扔进了塞纳河。</li>
<li>再后来，雷诺的作品和事迹被重新发掘。</li>
